  disappointed...just went there tonight. we ordered halibut and chips and side order of scallops. fish batter was very flaky and kind of stale tasting, chips were just "okay" just kind of dry and basic, certainly not like british chips. hard to screw up scallops but they did, scallops were good size but kinda dry and again the batter was flaky and stale tasting...sorry, but doubt i'll be back. so far the nicest fish i've had in durham was the place at westney and kingston, even though the owner there is rude. dont know why so many other places have a hard time getting a basic dish like fish and chips right.

  Scottish themed, hence the name, however the owners are definitely Asian!
  The food was good, bit slow to cook and not particularly busy but it tasted good. Chips were good.
  My only criticism is that the fish batter was too light.
  Would definitely go back again.
  Cod and chips was around $9 with tax

  The best fish n chips to be found around GTA. We are absolutely addicted and wanting to go back for more every week! Everything tastes so fresh and well prepared.

  Family run and fairly basic settings.
  However love the fish and esp the batter, very light, almost like a tempura.
  Real fish and chips with mushy peas, even with Asian owners who incidentally are very friendly.
  My British in-laws are there weekly .
